Pittsburgh's first permanent disc golf course is located in historic Schenley Park with views of downtown. It was originally constructed in 1988 and improved with concrete tees a decade later, A 2008 renovation brought in all new tee signs and baskets as well as C-pin positions on each hole. One third of the holes are on an open grassy hillside. The bulk of the course however is tightly packed into heavy woods.
