Description: Short course in grassy, flat park with tall bushy trees.
Although the city has posted several signs throughout the course to inform the public of it's existence, the course is often crowded on warmer days due to large numbers of families and picnickers setting up in the middle of fairways. There are also public walk-ways meandering through the park, often right in the middle of a fairway, so please throw with care.
Being a relatively short course, Rockwood is an ideal place for beginning disc golfers to get their "wings". It's also a good course to practice that ever important short game. It's close proximity to the city of Portland also adds to it's popularity. Regular tournaments are held every other week at this park during the winter. No alcohol permitted.
