All 27 holes in, went up on Saturday (5/4/2013) super windy. A few changes, 15 was different and 19 was different. Except for the wind, course is in great shape.

Description: Disc Golf Course located at Mountain High Ski Resort. Established in 1999, this marks the course’s 10th year in operation (Disc golf didn’t take place in 2001 when the Angeles National Forest was closed due to fire dangers). The Sky High Disc Golf course will be available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays this summer from 12pm to 7pm on Fridays, and 9am to 7pm all other days. Prices are just $7.00 for a round and $35.00 for a season pass.

The course was originally designed by Dave Dunnipace, owner of Innova Disc Golf, one of the country’s largest manufactures of discs, baskets, and accessories. It has been touted as one of the best courses in the nation with its incredible variety and scenic views. Broken into three 9-hole courses, the outing takes you on a 2.5 mile hike through the historic Angeles National forest where players are apt to see hawks, deer, coyotes and more. Snowcapped mountains line the course to the West and long, desert vistas stretch out to the East providing a landscape of scenery only found at 7,000 feet.

Local Directions: 90 minutes from LA. I-10 to the 15 north to the 138 towards Palmdale, left on Rte. 2 (Wrightwood turnoff), up past Wrightwood and past part of Mtn. High on left. Turn right on Table Mountain Rd. (signs to Mtn. High North) to lodge parking lot. 1st tee on the left.
