    Course Conditions as of 10/11/2015
This was my first time on the course. According to a local player someone has attempted to reaarrange the course. There are multiple holes that do not exist. The map is no longer up to date. The holes that do exist are improperly marked (hole 6 has a sign showing it at 600+ ft and a par 6). It appears to me that someone with a poor sense of humor has destroyed the course. There are still a few holes and baskets though, and it's beautiful in the fall.

Description: Some lengthy holes and shorter holes. A good course for beginners and as well as longtime players.

Course begins behind SS building. Maps are available from the Information Desk in the Student Center. Holes 1-13 are around the SS building. Holes 14-18 wrap around Mattke Field and the campus' Nature Center. Hole 18 finishes by Sweetland Hall. Water comes into play on Holes 16-18 (shots have to be made over a pond) and sometimes Holes 3-5 (area plays next to an water overflow ditch which may be full after snow melt in the spring).

Students of SMSU may check-out equipment to play the course from Commons East or Commons West.

Local Directions: Take Hwy. 23 bypass north out of Marshall. Take the 1st left possible (Mustang Trail). The course begins in the corner of the field northwest of the SS building.

NOTE: You cannot park in the street or the parking lots on class days or you will be ticketed. There are some 2 hour parking spots located near the end of the course on Birch St. I would recommend parking on Birch St. by Sweetland Hall, walking to the Student Center to pick up a course map, and then using the tunnel system to walk to the SS building.
