Description: Private. A 10.00 donation per person at hole #1 grants you access to the 100 acre property. You do not need a reservation or guide. Seasonal; open May 15 - October 15. A challenging, tightly wooded, boulder strewn, secluded hike weaving around the contour of Sugar Mountain on a Christmas tree farm at 4,000 feet elevation. You will not loop back to your car until you finish, so pack accordingly.
Navigation;The layout is self-guided with directional arrows near baskets pointing to next tee. Tee pads are uphill from previous basket on most holes and a few are at the same elevation. The only pad downhill from the previous basket is #25.
There are signs at each pad to confirm your location,but not on the baskets.Park below house and follow arrows.
Warm-up practice area in yard.
All blocks of Christmas trees are out of bounds; holes 16, 17 and 23.
If you choose to donate $10.00/day per person or an hour of labor to maintain the course and to fund the new baskets, you are most welcome.

Local Directions: Located between Newland & Linville, NC. 7/10 miles off of 181 on Sugar Mountain Road #1 (near Riverdale Nursery). Steep gravel driveway on right marked with small brown sign 664 with pink flagging and red disc.
