    Course Conditions as of 8/30/2015
All Kudos to the State Park System that has the grounds in nice shape and to Don Alexander and helpers who’ve continually made this course better. I rate as “Good” only because the new holes are being worked up. The 3 new holes are added, playable and “less rough” than just 2 – 3 weeks ago in early August. I anticipate that they will be a bit cleaner for the Redneck Open on September 13th. New hole “A” (Just off #11 basket and followed by “B”) is kind of a J shape which will have a ‘Mando’ left so that you have to play from the top of the J to the bottom (it is downhill) with a 90 degrees right turn and onto a guarded elevated basket. “B” plays fairly tight and slightly up to the dogleg left. You then descend slightly through a number of small diameter trees and negotiate a few vines to the basket. It may have an alternate long tee that would add about 80 – 100 feet. “B” ends near the path between the #11 basket and #12 tee. “C” plays after #14 with a couple tee choices with the longer (275?) having a dog-leg left and the shorter (220?) plays right at the basket although through many trees. The “C” basket is just behind the existing #15 tee pad.

Description: A few open holes with a mix of dense brush with younger trees or some maple maze with less brush holes. Some of the more beautiful back nine holes go through lines of older tall pine trees with a pine straw floor.
