Grass is thick and tall; needs a good mowing. Standing water in several areas throughout the course. A few tee pads are flooded or muddy (esp. #6 and 9). Course plays thru neighborhoods and by a school, but there are no porta-Johns. Otherwise, course plays well.
Scenic course in a neighborhood setting, almost entirely wide open with no intersecting fairways. Creek in play on most holes.
This is the 3rd redesign of the Original Greenbelt "A" course from 1986. This course was last redesigned in in 2012 although tee pads, upgraded baskets and new pin placements have been added. Most of the original course is no longer played. Some of the current holes are from the OG "B" course.
For tournament play, across the creeks and across sidewalks are considered out of bounds. In the few cases you throw over them, you have to clear to be considered in bounds. This makes hole 4 almost an island hole. This also gives you a very narrow landing zone for holes 3 and 16
North of Dallas on I-35E to Trinity Mills exit right, left on Josey Lane to Frankford Rd., right into park just after bridge, 1st tee at end of parking lot going down the creek.
