Tournament next weekend and the guys were going through cleaning up branches and moving baskets into tourney locations. Course is awesome and in awesome shape!
Only available for play during late spring, the summer season and early fall. Take the lift up to hole 1 and play as you hike down the mountain! Hole 18 is a 1200 foot drive (over 400 vertical feet)! The original 18 play down to base of ski lift with an additional nine holes that break off at hole 14 and play up and down a bowl section.
The lift runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm. If you go up to Solitude at a time when the lift is not running, the easiest way to hole #1 is to park at the Solitude Nordic Center near the Brighton Store and hike along the "Lake Solitude" trail. The hike will take you about 15 to 20 minutes. Be sure to leave one vehicle at Solitude's lower parking lot to get you back up to the Nordic Center parking lot when you're through playing.
Pay only for the lift ($10), free to hike in and play down.
I-15, to I-215 East. Take exit #6 and go SE to a left up Big Cottonwood Canyon, 17 miles to the 2nd Solitude exit. Play is free; lift pass $6.00 at Stonehaus deli/store (scorecards also).
