This is a tightly wooded course. I had a lot of fun working my flex shots. Hole 1 is a shot across the river from the parking lot. Hole 10 to 11 and Hole 12 to 13 are confusing transitions. Several friendly players helped to steer us in the right direction. Breakin Chains has a shop on site. There is a porta potty near the shop.

Great course for players of all skill level the local disc golf community continues to improve the course

18 holes of tight technical woods, creek in play on a few holes, concrete tees, good baskets and signs, easy to navigate. Well-worn ground under the canopy of mature trees. Decent variety of length (ace runs to par 4s) and overall hole design is interesting and challenging. Most holes provide multiple options of which path you want to attempt to hit.

The wooded setting is nice, and the creek you encounter throughout is scenic.

Hole 1 is very unique teeing from old concrete structure (dam/bridge?) across the creek through a narrowish window to a hidden basket up to the right in the trees. Then you have to walk a ways down to cross a bridge to get to the rest of the course.

The golf is pretty good if each hole had some breathing room or if you had the course to yourself, but...

The 18 holes play in a pretty tight area. Errant drives on many holes will find the neighboring fairway meaning groups are constantly getting in each other's way. And there are a few spots where you just feel cramped and in the way, or you are waiting on people in your way, but on different holes.

Holes 1 and 11 seem to partially share a fairway, plus the walk from 18 back to the parking lot crosses that same area. When teeing off on #1 (over a creek) there were groups of golfers (and walkers) everywhere in the landing area coming from all directions- it was nuts.

Another section around holes 12-17 seem to play practically on top of each other in spots. There were discs flying around everywhere hitting trees. I felt under attack.

Looking back at the map on DGCR after playing, it is not completely correct, looks like a couple holes added to get to 18, which explains why many holes have a squeezed feel.

The fairways are on the verge of too many trees in the middle of the fairways to the point where luck begins to beat out skill (and understand that I prefer wooded accuracy courses). Here one may hit your line but can just about count on hitting a tree at some point, you just hope it is later in the flight.

After playing here, I read some other reviews when posting my own. The "house" on hole 11/18 is maybe a clubhouse? with some practice baskets and lots of additional parking. If so, hole 11 is a strange place to have such a thing, so I had no idea what the building was during my round. Parking/starting here is an option for those in the know, but then you still have the problem of getting to hole 1 crossing 18/11/1/2 get to tee 1.

FREE- which is not the norm in this section of the country. (there are obvious pros and cons to this)

This is not a bad course, just average and not much different than many other wooded park courses that exist, which is ok. I can see why this course is popular, can get crowded, and is highly rated by many. If I lived here I would play here frequently, but would try to avoid peak times like weekends and afternoons.

-Travels along a river that plays into a couple holes adding to the scenic feel of the course.

-Hole distances have nice variation, has some nice long distance drives and shorter ace opportunity drives.

-This course can be a little muddy in a few areas. Wear boots in the spring.
-This course can get pretty busy during peak hours.
-If you throw a disc in the river it can get swept away in the currents.
-This course makes it easy to lose your disc, the river, blind drives and heavy wooded areas can make your plastic disappear.
-Little hole variation, mostly plays through the woods with only a couple drives in open space.

Bellamy park is a beautiful area. The course follows a river and trail that travels through the woods. The first couple holes the river is on full display and on the second hole if you drive right of the fairway you will end up in the drink. Sometimes the river is raging and the disc is gone, other times you can fish it out. the next several holes carve through the woods with some pretty challenging fairways to hit as tree obstacles are aplenty. Hole nine is a short downhill drive with ace potential but watch out for the water hazard. Hole 11 is a fun power drive down hill towards the river, if your approach is to strong go fish. The back half of the course takes you deep into the woods with a lot of tree hazards. This course is not great for beginners and can be a good challenge to all players.

-I may be bias because this is my home course, but the only thing I can really think of is in the warmer months this course can get a huge amount of foot traffic.

Teepads and baskets are in good condition.
Fairways are wooded, but fair and reasonable.
Course is pretty heavily trafficked and well maintained.

Nearly every hole has one gap or line you must make, but they are fair, there is just rarely more than one option off of the teepad.

-clean, clear fairways, but the trees provide some flavor
-excellent use of natural features such as elevation and brooks
-signature first hole which requires you to throw from a stone outcropping across the river
-tees and baskets are in excellent condition
-well-stocked pro-shop with rental discs which are often utilized when I bring my friends to try disc golfing
-lots of parking

-a few discs have been lost in the river by my friends trying for the first time

-this is a public park, so be aware of other people in the area
-the local schools run their cross country events here so be wary of runners during the fall sports season

- Good hole variety with subtle elevation change, distance, left or right, water, etc.
- Concrete tee pads are nice 90% of the time. There are a few times a year the ice is bad otherwise they play great.
- Other people on the course have always been friendly and most people seem to return disc to the lost and found
- The club and most players do a great job keeping this place clean and not full of litter
- The addition of a pro shop is huge, plus they have a bathroom which was missing before.
- Although the trees do make it challenging the hole distances usually mean a new player can grab a couple pars first time out.
- Lots of mulch for trails and around baskets

- Lots of dog walkers and other people using the trails for recreation. They are nice people but you need to be even more careful when throwing because they typically aren't aware of the players.
- Not that many open holes so it's hard to really rip anything big down a fairway.
- The signage isn't great from hole to hole, so the first few times out it can be a bit confusing.

I've played this course almost once a week for the last few years and still find that it's challenging enough to be fun, but easy enough that I've brought quite a few people who are newer to the sport and they've had fun too.

The course is layed out so that you really don't have to do much walking to get to the next hole. Signs are posted at every tee box to make it easy to determine your best approach. The first hole requires a throw across a small river, which is very nice. The pro-shop at the park is located at hole 18, which is very convenient if you need anything after finishing your round.

Being that the holes are so close together, a couple of spots may interfere with players who are playing other holes. This would really only be an issue though if the course was crowded. The baskets aren't numbered, which could cause a little confusion if you're not familiar with the course.

I'm very much a beginner and thought that some of the tree locations made the course a bit challenging. But I'm learning that this is only part of the way the game is played. I played another course that was somewhat close to this one and enjoyed this course a lot more. I would love to play it again when I'm back in town.

- Some holes have very set and tight lines you need to hit, and if you miss or hit a tree early you are probably looking at a 4-5 on a par 3

Overall great local course to play with most of the regulars being very nice and helpful.

One thing to add is the Club is VERY good and consistent with Disc Fishing. So if you loose your disc in the drink and it has your name on it, you can expect to get it back.

Really well maintained. Good signage. Right off the highway. Mix of right and left tee shots. Fair par ratings.

So tight as to be limiting of shot varieties. Seems to be a decent amount of regular hiker traffic through the course -- need to keep an eye out for folks walking through your shot.

only played it twice in one day, But got the feeling that regulars could master this place with some basic trial an error. Seemed like there was probably only one good way to play many of the holes. Lots of wood out there, but mostly fair throughout. A lot of fun to play!

-Staff in Pro Shop were more intent that our party didn't steal discs than being friendly reps of Bellamy Park
-While baskets were in excellent shape they were very difficult to see (not painted or flagged).
-The course layout favors advanced players. Not for kids, beginners, or novices.
-The size and amount of trees is what Bellamy is known for. It is also why I couldn't recommend the course to other players. The majority of holes require advanced shot shaping. If this was the only issue it wouldn't be a problem. What was a problem was that because of the lack of clear lanes (too many trees) also required a shaped shot & LUCK to successfully navigate the course (and I played it during early spring when there was no leaf cover- The course in full foliage would become an even greater maze).

I recognize that Bellamy has a huge and devoted following. It shows, you have great signage, excellent pads & baskets, no trash all on a FREE course! That is unheard of. I just prefer my round to be determined by my skill and the challenge presented by the course. There are just too few lanes and options that require you to execute good throws and luck to scoot by the trees to shoot par here. There is no question why 'The Woodpeckers' were borne here (Shout out to #1 and #2) In my opinion, Bellamy lacks Zen or flow and is not the ideal place for beginners to learn Disc Golf. That said I'm glad Bellamy is there, it's just know what your getting into when you take on that beast!

This is a very wooded course but it plays very crisp. It was rare to hit a dangling limb or land in an unplayable spot. Fairways are defined and have many options but are very TIGHT. This was a great course to play and I would definitely recommend it to any player who wants a challenge.

Great lines, long straights and some short technical shorts. it is absolutely beautiful and the trees there are probably hundreds of years old, I like when the course is built into a forest and the lines are natural. the tees are great and the flow is easy to follow.
There is one hole that you throw around a bunch of trees or bomb it over the water, it is amazing!

there is water on several holes, but easily gettable if you are willing to get a little wet. the water isn't really a con it is a way to challenge your game.

This was a course I played while serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, I played once a week on my "preparation Day" and we loved it!!!!

if you are close by definitely go throw this course.

Very organized course, course map at first hole, two practice baskets AND a driving net, excellent signs on each hole showing multiple basket locations, benches and trash cans on most (if not all) holes, next tee signs on each basket, GREAT DG shop on site!

Set in a city park where all the fairways and most all of the rough were clear and easy to find your discs. Concrete tee pads, just about long enough, but level and even brooms on several.

This is rated as heavily wooded, that is the case on a lot, but not all of the holes. The trees that are there are old-growth, tall trees, so not too many bushy, thick leaves that are hard to escape from.

Walter's Disc Golf Emporium opened late last year. I lucked out as one of the workers had to drop by, just as I was playing the closest hole! Great selection of plastic, bags, hats, I just had to make a purchase and leave some NC money there!!

The fun holes started right away and continued to the end, 1,4,9,11,12,14, 16 and 18. Most were par 3, but several par 4s to let you air it out a little.

About the only thing I didn't like, some fairways were not well defined. Large old-growth trees everywhere, they could not be brought down, so you just have to deal with them. 12 was a good example, but it was also one of my favorites, with the stream guarding the left side.

Real fun course to play, especially thanks to my local guides Ken and Snoop Dog. This would be a great everyday course, the dual basket positions would give some variety, although not a ton. Not much of a chance of losing discs.

The stream that runs through the course is nice scenery but just there to keep you from straying too far. #1 tees off from a stone walkway, then over the stream for only 50 feet, fun start. The stream runs behind #11 and along side 2, 12 and 18, you really have to stray to get wet.

Walter's DGE looks like a great place to hang out before or after a round, I hope the locals support this shop because they sank some money in it and made it first class.

Nice layout, clear markers, good switchback design, the great river adds a challenge and beauty, well maintained and kept natural

Excellent mixture of trees and open space. Nice layout and use of hilly terrain and small creeks. Easy layout to follow and well marked

Crowded. UNH in Dover has an active DG crowd.

This course is excellent and worth a trip to play.

Well designed, wooded course. Layout flows well. Great tee pads. Mostly, nice controlled tee shots. Great baskets, benches, and water features. Nice spot to practice putting with two baskets.

If you lose a disc dont expect to get a call or find it in the lost and found. Lock your car doors. REALLY busy at peak times. Easily the busiest course in NH.

Philbricks bike shop is right down the street. They have a good selection of discs from several manufactures.

You come to Bellamy for one reason, to shoot over the roaring river. The first tee is just yards from a ripping river. On the one hand, any disc that fails to make it across is gone. On the other, it's not that far across. But it is definitely exciting.

You have to trek aways to get to the bridge where people can make a dry crossing before you can claim your successful drive and approach the basket. It's a victory march of sorts. After that however, the course doesn't have much left that marks it as a serious contender.

The river, used to such awesome extent on hole one, is never used well again. Its in the backdrop a few times, but the biggest impact it has is on the hole where you must throw essentially across a very mucky fairway.

There are one or two other spots where you could end up in the river but are much more likely to toss an errant throw in the section of woods that keeps the river from being a significant obstacle.

Other than that, there's not a ton of interesting holes. They're woodsy but not too difficult. There's a few that play awkwardly through what seems to be someone's backyard.

A few holes are really nice ace runs for a RHFH thrower, which I appreciate.

Beyond that, the only holes I wanted to replay were 12-18. It's a solid course with one memorable hole, but noting else will stick in your mind.

Most holes are short 3s. Could use 2 more longer holes to balance things out a bit more.
Tight spaces, a bunch of holes play into each other a bit and a few tee pads are REALLY close to the fairways of other holes (but there are protection nets).
Place seems like it gets packed at times.
Next tee signs could be better.

This course is just a good time all around.
The practice area and first tee over look the running stream that plays through the course. That just sets your mood for a great round or at least a good time.
The elevated tee shots are frequent and challenging.
This course is VERY tight at times.
Not a bunch of space to air it out here.
Placement and putting will run your round.
The scene at this park is HOPPIN.
There is a club, league, and doubles event posted on the board at entrance. All the locals I ran into were super chill, friendly, and helpful.
I'll be back a few more times this summer, you should make a trip as well!
