Description
The course has been designed around a 5 year old Conservation Riparian Enrichment Program (CREP) promoting fish habitat, and focusing on a small section of Bummer Creek, and is part of the Bummer Creek Outdoor Center (BCOC). The course meanders over 20+ acres of former homestead farmland with several elevation changes, and numerous seasonal water crossings including a par 4 crossing Bummer Creek itself. Numerous tree have been planted throughout the course, and as they mature will be thinned to promote challenging play. As of July of 2021, new El Guapo Bandito Pro 35 Baskets and new Astro turf tees are now in place. The former targets: a combination of three different basic art forms, the circle, triangle, and square, will now be used as tee markers. The course is played in the order of red, white, and blue, i.e., hole 1 red, hole 2 white, hole 3 blue, and so on. Most holes are par threes and fours, some holes have been extended for more challenging play. Many of the hole locations have been changed, and the photos may not be accurate at this time. As time and weather permit, these will soon be corrected. Up to date course maps are available at Tee #1. The course has been designed to favor accuracy over length. And while some of the fairways are in the 500 to 600 foot range, most will require good disc choice and control. A reasonable blend of left handed-right handed play has also been taken into account. The greens fee is $5.00 per player: players under 12, and 62 and older play for free. A complimentary disc sticker is provided to help ID any lost discs if found by the crew (All found discs with names and numbers on them are returned to the owners when possible). A portion of the greens fee is donated to Alsea Community Effort, a community based Non-Profit Organization that supports local operations such the Alsea Library. Greens fees can be dropped in the "Greens Fee" box at tee #1. Course maps are also provided for use while on the course. Call or text (541) 609 6589, and leave a message and return phone number for hours of operation and tee time availability. A nature trail, numerous bird watching locations, and primitive campsites are also onsite.
