Camp Taloali is a summer camp for deaf and hard-of-hearing kids along the Santiam River in the Cascade foothills. The course plays through woods and open areas on the northwest side of the main camp area. $5 per person per day to play. Pack out your trash, leash your dog, no alcohol and no smoking or vaping. Lost and found at Camp Administration Office. Contact [email protected] to inquire about lost discs. Do NOT enter the main campground (200' down the road past the course) without permission. Head east on Hwy. 22 from Salem toward Bend. About 2 miles past Stayton just past milepost 16. There are those "2 hills" that you go over, and then a flat part before passing lanes open again. Look for a brown sign that says "Detroit Lake 30 miles," then you will see a bigger-than-normal green street sign about 50 feet before the brown sign (Camp Taloali); this is where you turn in. Go straight, follow the road, and you will see a bright orange fee box a few hundred feet before the main entrance to the camp. Tee #1 is down the path from the fee box.
