School 9 hole with surprising distance 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 2, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

- New baskets
- Nicely kept grounds
- Some long holes for a middle school course
- Very cart friendly
- Lots of parking

Cons:

- Safety is an issue on #3
- Mostly straight shots to the basket
- Not much shade
- Navigation can be an issue
- No tee signs or markings

Other Thoughts:

- Coal Ridge is a pretty typical School grounds course with mostly flat straight shots to permanently mounted baskets. It plays in a big 'U' around the building, leaving you with a short walk back to the car.

- Most courses on school grounds don't play as long as this one with most holes over 300', two over 350' and 2 over 450'...Yikes these young kids have some arms!

- There are no tees to be found. We played hole 1 from the bottom of the bleachers, and then teed off from each basket that we just finished. This seemed to work well.

- We had a fun round but it's not a place to travel to. It's local for me and when I saw it online, I wanted to add it here.

-The biggest problem I have, and the reason for the low score is the safety issue regarding the playground on hole 3. An errant grip lock can send a disc into the playground structures.
