Pros:
-Baskets and tees are in perfect shape. The concrete tees are well built and allow run ups.
-The layout is decent for what the terrain has to offer.
Distance is required more than accuracy, while certain bushes off the fairway are really thick and thorny.
-This course is reccomendable to beginners and people who would like to give disc golf a try.
-A course map is close to tee #4.
-The university offers a cafe and toilets.
-Discs are for rent at a kiosk, close to the course.
Cons:
-Sadly the terrain is barely maintained and
the grass is cut only twice a year. Most of the time, the field is overgrown and too high to find your discs.
-The layout is not challenging for advanced players. With few obstacles, no OB's or islands and mostly straight open shots, playing here felt boring.
-There are no teesigns and no information about the lenght of each hole.
-The bushes along the fairway of #8 and #9 will eat your discs. There is almost no way to get your discs back (in the summertime) if you happen to land inside.
Other Thoughts:
DGP Witten is a decent course to introduce disc golf to beginners.
The lack of maintenance is crucial as the course is only playable for a short time over the year.
This course is not worth a drive.
