This is the 1st DiscGolfPark established in the state of Michigan and the 30th DiscGolfPark installed in the United States. Established in May 2021. This is pro caliber, championship level course playing through the moderately thick Northern Michigan woods. It's mostly flat terrain with a slight elevation drop across Hole #5 aka "The Pit". A great variety of shot shapes and distances that will require a multitude of different throws to navigate these forested corridors. As you near the end of your round, just when you thought that you've escaped the course unscathed, prepare yourself for the 960 ft (293 meter) Par 5 Hole #18 "Green Lake Monster" to finish. The short (blue) layout provides a pro level course with a great mix of par 3 & 4 holes for a par of 60 measuring 7,800 ft (2,378 meters). The long (gold) layout is a championship level course that will challenge even the best of players with eight par 4s and two par 5s for an overall par 66 measuring 10,280 ft (3,134 meters). The highly visible blue & yellow baskets can be seen from a majority of the teepads, even on some of the longer holes. Inside the bottom of each basket is an arrow that points to the tee pad for the next hole. From Traverse City (17-miles & 25-minutes) : Take M-31 south 12.5 miles, then turn left (south) on M-137 towards the town of Interlochen. Travel 4.2 miles, through town and then take a left (east) on Youker Road and continue for 0.3 miles with your parking lot destination on the left (north). The tee of hole #1 is located near the large Green Lake DiscGolfPark course map in the northeast corner of the parking lot.
