Great views, tough to navigate 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Excellent views of the Hazen Bay area on Lake Sakakawea. Baskets were in excellent shape. Very nice to have a convenience store right at the first tee.

Cons:

Tee signs can be difficult to spot and no signange. Stopped at the C-store and they told me there were no course maps available anywhere. Baskets were grouped together in places making the course nearly impossible to navigate for a first timer.

Other Thoughts:

To be fair, I didn't even play a whole round at this course as I wasn't quite sure where I was going after the first hole. I would love to come back and play again if some sort of map was available or if I was playing with somebody familiar with the layout.

Hazen Bay 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 7, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

The park is well maintain. Baskets are in great shape, they look new. The Tees are marked with the Hole # and Par. Hole #6 you need a arm, for this. Hole # 7 & 8 you throw across a gully. There are several golf ball type flags, that can help you with the wind.

Cons:

The Tee are marked with round yellow signs and concrete blocks, they are hard to see. Hole # 2 & 9 are close to the road. Hole # 1 is behind the C-store, so watch for people crossing.

Other Thoughts:

The C-store, that is there has an up to date course lay out. The course has been changed. There camping, restroom, C-store, and the lake. A nice place for a weekend get away. It a good beginner course and a little more, for someone who has played, 3 to 6 years.
