Pros:

Having thrown discs at Indian Trail Elementary School, I now understand what a practice area is.
- The school has three baskets on its grounds.
- Two baskets are in front of the building, visible from the road. The other is not. Enjoy the walk behind the building to throw to the 3rd basket. You can practice throwing back and forth between two baskets or simply at one.
- Having the baskets split up means you'll be fighting half the crowd.
- If you throw from basket-to-basket in front of the building, you have a nice 175-foot uphill (one-way) or downhill (the other) shot.
- There is a lot of room for field work in both the front and back portions of the school. You can chuck throws of 500 feet or more if you'd like. Or you can practice putting
- It's at a school, so it's a good way to introduce kids to the game, I guess.
- It's easy to navigate back and forth between the two baskets in the front.

Cons:

I don't understand the purpose of splitting the baskets the way they did. Do schools/parks have one basketball hoop in one area and the other one far away?
- If you're a student here, is it appealing to throw discs at a single basket? While all the other kids are playing at recess, are you really going to practice your putting game? Secondarily, is anyone coming here to practice when there are a fair number of courses within 10-15 minutes of here?
- Why not just put the three baskets all in the same area? At least then you could create a three or six-hole layout.
- It's a practice area so you're throwing from wherever you want. How does one know when they've done enough here to mark the course as 'played'?

Other Thoughts:

Indian Trail Elementary has three baskets. And somehow, it's a poor layout.
- Why split up the three baskets? Two in one field and the third in another? There's just no sense behind this design.
- This is what it must feel like to feel a bit of excitement or power when you complain to the city and get a road hump installed in your neighborhood. DGers want to grow the game so they work to get baskets installed in at schools. And the school did the bare minimum to do that.
- Sure, stop here to throw a disc. If you're driving by and can't wait to dry to Squirrel Lake, Dry Creek, Crooked Creek, Creekside, or the Scrapyard.
- Of all the three-hole layouts I've thrown, this is probably the worst layout. Even McKee Road Elementary near by has the three baskets close to each other. At least those have a logical flow.
- One day the baskets will be gone and nobody will notice. Then you'll be regretting you missed out on bagging this one.
