Pros:
All essentials- concrete tees, baskets, signs, course map at kiosk. Makes the most out of available land, downhill shots, baskets on slopes, uphill challenges. Park style, so it has nice regularly mowed fairways.
The primary feature of this course is elevation on almost every hole. On paper it looks short, but the steeper hillsides make it play much tougher. Obviously throwing uphill makes a hole play longer, but you have to be careful to not fly past the basket 50-100' on the downslopes. And putting/approaching on hills will be tested many times.
And there are not just hills, but there are plenty of trees to work around on most holes, and make you choose and execute your lines carefully.
There is a small lake that, not only looks nice, but comes into play a couple times. Three holes actually tee off from the flat area on top of the earthen dam. The two holes with lake carries are totally reasonable, and offer the risk/reward option of just how far you want to try to get across as they play over the corner, in other words you can play it safe and cut the corner short or really throw it out over the water if you have the arm and the confidence.
There are many fun ace runs.
Practice basket. Practice tee: I have not seen this setup any where else, but there is a practice/warmup tee with a net in front of it!
Cons:
Not a whole lot, pretty solid course, just nothing totally epic, and no real par 4/5 type holes. Hole 15 is a great hole, maybe the best on the course, but is the only one with any real length at 392' and water in play the whole way.
Walking paths, roads, soccer fields somewhat close on some holes. 6,10,12 have the potential for an errant throw to end up on a soccer field as there is nothing to knock down a disc if it is thrown high and out of control.
A few times I had to consult the map for navigation until hole 10, so be sure to take a picture of the map.
Other Thoughts:
Fun course in a pretty park. Good test of accuracy and touch.
