Other Thoughts:
- Mehaffey Park is a 64-acre sports complex with amenities to keep just about everyone happy. The disc golf course takes up about 12 acres of non-irrigated pasture land on the north side. There are two entrances to Mehaffey, and the north side is preferred but both will get you to the course.
- Overall this is a good beginner course, and if I was taking someone new to play, I would probably bring them here. The distances are enough to keep a new player interested, without being overly long and tiring. Elevation changes are very slight, and obstacles far and few between.
- The challenge here for an intermediate player is to keep your disc in the fairways, and that's pretty much it. An occasional sapling may redirect your shot, but that's rare.
- Advanced players are a bit out of luck. Bring your friends and work on your midrange or putter game.
- If you bring your family when you play, there's a lot to do at Mehaffey. The course is decent and will keep beginners happy as they improve their scores, but a serious player will find little to challenge themselves with here. Mehaffey is worth a bag if you're in the area, but not a course to travel to.
