Pros:
I like this park. While not huge they have managed to put in a fun course with a variety of shots. They have done a good job building tee pads and have taken some of the confusion out of the course with the new basket placements. The park has other amenities so kids have place to play if not throwing and could do bbq or picnic in conjunction with round.
Cons:
Remodel is off to a good start but still has a ways to go. My biggest reservation is that some of the holes, while better, are still very close to each other, especially at the bottom of the hill. The potential for being hit by a bad shot is higher than I like if the course is busy. Tee pads that are done are nice but there are still a couple rough ones. Maps are well stocked and makes course playable but there are still no signs on many of the tees. Couple of tees were hard to find from previous hole(on top of hill, 13 or 14) so 'next tee' signs would be nice. There were laminated arrows on some holes pointing to next tee. Grass is longer on meadow, not as bad as some courses I've played but still easy to lose track of disc. Baskets are hard to spot, especially ones in shade. Making hole numbers on top higher contrast(black on orange or yellow background) would help. There is a lack of garbage cans on course. There is only one long hole and it is downhill. Pros will need to look elsewhere for a serious challenge.
2017 Update: remodel seems to be done and they have done a nice job. Pads are all done, with some well done raised ones on the many hillside holes. Well made signs are on all holes. only real drawbacks are the tee pads are a little short and forest was over thinned on some holes. It needed to be done, but they took it too far.
Other Thoughts:
This is a nice local course and I am very glad to see the effort that was put into the remodel. It is one of the nicer area courses and it is worth the 45 minute drive for me to play once or twice a month. Definitely the course to hit in the Coeur d'Alene area.
