Pros:
Brand New Baskets
Great facilities based around the dry ski slope, with cafe, toilets and lots of other activities
Knowledgable staff
Site staff are actively looking to add another 9 holes before the end of 2017
Cons:
With so much undulation it is a real shame that the course is virtually flat and follows the paths
Other Thoughts:
Hole 1: Nice and simple, small fir tree guards the basket
Hole 2: Pond to your left. It will only come into play in high winds, but, with the exposed position of this course be aware of it. Hole is straight, aim for the closer basket
Hole 3: Mando to right of tree by basket makes this hole quite difficult.
Hole 4: Long hole which runs round the corner. There is the option to play through the tunnel (right of tee) but wouldnt give a great advantage.
Hole 5: The best on the course. Dogleg right. Dont try and cut the corner, the brambles were 10ft high on my visit.
Hole 6: A shot hole over the bumps. Not really a challenge
Hole 7: Another short hole. OB is only 5ft behind the basket. For accurate players an ace is very achievable here.
Hole 8: The longest on the course, and is played over all the horse riding jumps.
Hole 9: An easy one to finish, two big trees guard the basket.
On the whole a nice course. It is a shame that more hasnt been made of the undulation and woodland areas, but with the potential of another 9 holes coming this could be something to look at in the future.
Be aware that holes 1,2 and 9 are used as a taster session for local primary schools, this is why they are significantly easier than the rest of the course
