Other Thoughts:

- My given rating reflects how this course compares to other courses. My comments here will address more of the beginner aspects of this course since it was designed with beginners in mind.

- Pioneer Ridge DGC plays along a concrete walking path that circles a flat, grassy park next to an elementary school. The holes vary in length, and small trees dot the fairways. Bring a neutral midrange, your favorite putter, and have some fun.

- I usually cringe at safety issues when courses are installed next to playgrounds, but it's obvious the designers planned this course to eliminate any potential of errant throws hitting the playground. Big kudos to the designers.

- This is a new park in a new subdivision. The trees guarding the baskets are small, but as they grow the challenge will also grow. It's great to see this course being put in so early.

- Although this course is designed for very new players, it's easy to add new challenges as their skill grows. Introducing ideas like OB, and island holes is easy and it keeps the course fresh as skills increase.

- Final thoughts. Don't travel far to play here unless you absolutely have to bag it. But if you have someone you'd like to introduce to Disc Golf, I can't think of too many courses in the area better than this. I already have a few people in mind that want to play, and this is the course I'm bringing them to.
