-The course is located inside the "Wiener Prater", the main park inside of vienna. The city park is quite large and worth a visit, with or without playing disc golf.
-The main layout offers both, tight wooded shots and long distant open holes. You can also choose between different layouts, as the course tends to be crowded on sunny weekends.
-Hole #7 is one of the signature holes, as it runs under a bridge with quite a distance and a double mandatroy.
-The equiment (baskets and signs) were in good shape. A coursemap is onsite and navigating was easy.

-The worst thing about this course were (sadly) the tees, as i played there after some rain. The very worn out, muddy "puddles" were terrible, compared to the rest of the course. There were some rubber mats, almost completely burried, but they were as helpful as if they werent even placed there. On sunny dry days this might not be problem at all.
-Although the layout and the flow were very good, the first 4 holes felt a bit "cramped" and i couldnt see why they placed them so close to each other when there was so much space left later on.
-Beware of other park goers on sunny days and on the weekend. You might only be able to play the back 9 layout when the park is to crowded.

-As i mentioned before, the park itself is worth a visit and the course runs nicely through it.
-I have not expected such a nice course so close to the city/in the city-park of vienna.
-Definitely worth a visit when you are in town.
-Cross your fingers and hope they have installed or at least fixed some tees.

Some of the baskets are just plain and very open shots. You would benefit playing in a group looking out for spotting and stray discs

The Prater disc golf course is actually two seven basket courses. The first seven play along a well populated jogging, bicycling and equestrian trail. Long and short tees are on each drive. The unique feature is the baskets are not regulation. Large numbers adorn the top of the basket which aid players to which basket to throw at. Tees are dirt with a horizontal log at the top. Another log, which is vertical is adjacent to each tee which might have tee information. The first half plays like a course from the 1980s: short technical drives. The second half is more open on a set of pastures with longer drives. Regulation baskets are here but without any numbers. Both sections of the course will not cause to much stress to a seasoned player and neophytes will appreciate the ease of this course. Most baskets can be reached in three and birdies can happen on any drive. The drive that is under a bridge on the front seven and the tunnel shot on the back seven should not be missed. The aesthetics of the course are excellent.

Experienced players might find this course insipid. The abundance of straight or short drives will not require great technical prowess. The first seven baskets are smaller than regulation and the chains are not effective at catching a disc. Tee signs are missing and navigating the back seven was a bit awkward. The short tees were tough to find on some drives. The horizontal log prevents players from allowing their momentum to carry them past the tee when conducting an opening shot. Lastly, the high grass on the back seven can hide a disc thus players need to follow their drives and use mental marks to retrieve their disc.

This course is located in a beautiful municipal park. Pedestrians are numerous but were not near the course except on Five. A child's park is nearby and thus can be a place for the family to hang out while the disc golfer plays a quick round. Washrooms are located near the stadium parking lot. Although the walk is slightly longer, I recommend getting off the U2 at Stadion and walking past the stadium to the park and taking the path left to the course. There are more services along the way which include, a mall, food stands and washrooms.

Tees have rather high wooden bars at the end - beware.

Baskets on holes 8-14 are good - much better than the ones at 1-7
