Pros:
The course at Spring Lake is well designed for the beginner/ Intermediate player as most holes are under 250. Each hole offers shot shaping of some degree, with the last two really being the most open and really only require a long drive. Tee signs work well, they had distance, hole number, and general shape of the hole. Usage of elevation was executed wonderfully. Arrows pointing towards the next tee pad. Nice touch with the Coral OB on hole 6. Over all each hole in its own is well designed.
Cons:
Rough is extremely rough. Even on some good shots within the 30, I was still being punished by thorns. Crossing fairways make this place a hazard and a half. This course would be dangerous if a few others were out playing.
Other Thoughts:
Fun course if your looking for a scoreable shot shaping round. Seasoned players with shoot under while the noob will enjoy themselves. The rough and crossing fairways are less than to be desired but, I will most likely be back next year to see if any evolution has ocured.
