Pros:
1) Discatchers are an attractive basket and draw more attention to the course and the sport.
2) Its a 9 holer in a small town. What more can you ask for.
3) Elevation used very well on a couple of holes like #3 up the hill and #4 down the hill.
4) Distance variation is extreme for a little nine holer. Gotta love the variation of 150' up to 470' even if there are almost no obstacles. Distance variation accentuates disc selection and different upshots on the unreachable holes.
5) Beginner friendly. Thats about all I have to say about that.
6) If you are here that means you are not in the Waupun Correctional Facility . . . who wouldn't think that is a positive!!!
Cons:
1) Single row chains on the Discatchers.
2) No obstacles on the course only one large hill and a couple lightposts that might get in your way on an errant shot.
3) No real fun factor except #4 down the hill giving yourself a realy fun look at an ace run.
4) No tees, no garbage cans, no signs, basically no amenities to draw people to play this course.
5) Grass tees although so little play here they are perfect so at least they aren't rutted and muddy. Throw from basket to basket since there does not seem to be anything that marks an actual tee area.
Other Thoughts:
You really can't go wrong with a 9 hole course in a small town. You are guaranteed at least a 1 disc rating from me and if you add in a couple of key elements you might even reach 1.5 disc standing. Throw in some actual tees, and a sign here or there and a garbage can and you could get the elusive 2 disc rating . . . but as this course stands I can only give it a 1 disc rating. It is better than the few handfuls of courses like this that I have played. jUts not a lot to draw me back but another course off my unplayed list in WI.
