Decent but nothing more 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 20, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's free, easy to navigate, and there are some decent elevation-change throws. I also like the park that it's a part of--it was cool to see the mountain biking, tennis, basketball, and other amenities nearby. It made it feel like a community of people, each picking their own outdoor activity of choice.

Cons:

Instead of playing disc golf, it felt more like Don't-Lose-Your-Disc golf. I played in a group of 6, with myself and another veteran and 4 newbs. For the 4 newbs, it was really hard to not lose a disc. We had to spread out all over each hole to have eyes on wherever it landed. That really made the whole experience a lot less enjoyable. I think if it had been just me and the other veteran, it wouldn't have been nearly as bad, but the whole experience was on the frustrating side.

Other Thoughts:

It's awesome that a place like Park City with so many outdoor activities has a disc golf course. And it's even cooler that it's part of such an awesome outdoor activity center. I just wish the course was more accessible for players who are new to the sport.

Pros:

- Tons of elevation change, both uphill and downhill
- Good Tee signs, all the info you need
- decent variety of distances, mostly shorter holes under 300 feet though
- good baskets with numbers on them
- the only quick play and free course in the Park City area

Cons:

- uneven dirt tee pads
- very thick sage brush covers the entire course, making finding your discs difficult on a couple of the longer blind holes
- the course lacks any real obstacles, elevation and trying to not lose your disc in the sage are the only obstacles

Other Thoughts:

Most of the throws on this course are just wide open straight throws that you hope you can find in the sea of sagebrush. The elevation is the only thing that makes this course worth any time.

Fun elevation challenge 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lots of elevation change
Easy to navigate
Beautiful location
Good distance for beginner/intermediate
Only free course in the area

Cons:

No trees or other large obstacles
Dirt tee pads

Other Thoughts:

I recommend bright colored discs as they can get lost in the sagebrush easily.

Overall I had a lot of fun playing this course and found it a mild challenge as in intermediate player.
