Good use of available features 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 30, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Surprisingly good use of available terrain, trees, and bordering woods. For being on a wide-open prairie, I found this course surprisingly interesting. it's also a fairly long course I thought.

Cons:

Flat. Tee areas aren't marked very well. Hole signs don't have distances.

Other Thoughts:

If this were 18 holes, I'd prefer this one over Triangle.

Nice 9 on a college campus 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 27, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A newer course on a nice college campus. Placement takes advantage of some larger, mature trees and other campus obstacles such as roads and some elevation changes. Plenty of facilities that should be open to the public most of the year.

Cons:

Depending on when you play, you may have to pay a nominal fee to park for the day. There is a lot of land out there and they could easily fit at least another nine on the campus.

Other Thoughts:

Due to the placement on campus, there should not be too much foot traffic on the course even when school is in session. There may be more to deal with when you take the shots that cross the roads, however. Restrooms, water, and vending machines should be easily found in just about any of the campus buildings near the course and should be open most of the year.
