How do I add photos/pictures to a course?

Make sure you're logged in and then go to the course page and click the "Media" tab. On the bottom right corner of that page you'll see a link labeled "Upload Photos". Click that and you're in business.

Also, don't forget to associate a hole number with your pictures so other members know what they're looking at.
