View Full Version : Not too bad as a putter, and it floats!

I was using my practice basket tonight with different putters, and just for the hell of it, I threw my Hydra. It actually made a pretty good putter. Now I would not use it as my main putter, but where you need to putt around water hazards, it would work great, because you would not have to worry about loosing your putter in the water. Plus Hydras are cheap.
Just something I thought I would pass along.

I discovered this for myself a couple months ago. My wife and I were going to the beach for vacation. Before going I decided to pick up a couple of discs that would float to have some fun with. I purchased a Hydra and a Zephyr. Before we left for vacation I got to messing around with the Hydra some. It has a real nice release being the brick that it is. I really like the way the disc feels. The plastic is real grippy.

Ha! It's funny I just held a Hydra yesterday and remarked at how it's plastic feels. It defiantly has it's own unique feel to it. It felt good, but that's all the info I have. The fact that it's floats kinda makes me want to develop a throw just for those pesky water hazards with that specific disc in mind.

Thats what I do for baskets that have water with in 12 feet of them.

I putt with my Hydra when water is an issue.

Its good insurance and it keeps you from loosing your favorite putter.
