Ok I'm bored and I'm sure a lot of people surfin these forums are also.
So, if you are and you feel up to it, help me make my bag out of my available discs!
If you feel like I am missing, or overlapping a lot in my discs, pls say so. I am a noob, and I need help :)
I have a revolution carolina so I can hold about 17 discs I think.
I throw about 300'. RHBH.
I think it would take a lot of space and time to write out all of my discs here, so I will put a link (HERE (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/bag.php?mid=8967)) to my available discs!

This is the bag I just made looking through it. I was just curious of other peoples preferences with my options. I know all my preferences (but most of my discs are new from the misprint deal and I haven't yet had the chance to hit up the field). This is pretty much every disc I can imagine needing. I didn't trim any fat. I pretty much put everything in this bag that I like and think I might need to have.

This 300'; is it controlled and hit most the time or is that max D with your longest disc?

Let's reorganize these based on speed, shot type. And let's take a look at flight ratings (as per DGC).
Max Distance
Innova Champion Boss 172g (13,5,-1,3)
Innova Champion Katana 172g (13,5,-3,3)
***** No Changes, Nothing fast and overstable (Destroyer, Xcal, etc?)?
All Purpose Drivers
Innova Star SL 170g (10,5,-1,2)
Discraft ESP Stalker 168g (10,5,-1,1)
Discraft Elite Z Flick 167g (9,4,1,4)
Innova Champion Valkyrie 170g (9,4,-1,2)
Innova Champion Firebird 173g (9,3,0,4)
Innova DX Firebird 174g (9,3,0,4)
Innova Star TL 168g (7,5,0,1)
Innova KC Banshee 166g (7,3,0,3)
Discraft Elite Z XS 174g (7,4,-2,3)
With the SL, TL, Stalker and Valkyrie, dont you have the same (straight) disc 4 times with slight variations?
Flick, Firebird x2, Banshee - Isnt this 3 times redundant?
* Overall, this is a good collection, i just see a lot of extra weight.
Fairway / Long Approach
Innova Champion Leopard 174g (6,5,-2,1)
Discraft CryZtal Buzzz 176g (5,4,-1,1)
Discraft Elite Z Comet 172g (4,4,-2,1)
Discraft ESP FLX Drone 176g (5,3,0,4)
Discraft ESP Meteor 172g (4,5,-3,1)
Discraft ESP Zone 174g (4,3,0,3)
Drone, Zone - Same???? No?
Comet, Meteor - Similar - No?
Putters
Gateway Soft Magic 175g (2,3,-1,0)
I guess, since you have the space of 16 discs, this bag is fine.... I see a lot of consolidation potential.
I dont know the bag intimately, but my feeling is that you have tons of discs that do almost the exact same thing and is highly tailored to 1-2 courses. While it seems balanced enough to play almost anywhere, i wonder if there are some things that you'd discover quickly that you missed.... Does it have the balance to play in other areas, courses? High wind, lots of turnover, etc.... <- Speaking aloud, i dont really know.
If you went and threw all of the discs in an empty field, with the exact same throw, i think you'd find that they would all land in very similar "clusters". If this is the case, realistically, you have a lot of overlap and may be confusing yourself with too many discs and slight variations of similar discs.

thanks for that solid post djjeremiahj! I def do have a lot of overlap. When I made that bag up I looked through my discs and just kept adding more as I saw them lol. Like I said, I didn't trim any fat. That being said, your post was pretty much what I was looking for. A lot of the discs I listed I have never thrown, or thrown once. Once I get the combination of nice weather and free time I'll figure out how they all fly for me. Where do you find those rating #s for discraft? I know where to find them for innova but I haven't seen those #s for discraft. (I have been looking at Joes Flight Chart or Prime's chart...but I like to see those #s)
I had no idea the Stalker was rated so fast.
Ok so trimed down..I guess I could go with (and try to master these discs):
Champ Boss (on the few holes I've thrown this on, I've loved it)
Champ Katana (just got it, never thrown)
ESP Surge (overstable-stable driver)
Z Flick (very overstable driver)
Champ Valkyrie (unless Katana will fill this role?)
ESP Stalker (straight)
Cryztal Buzzz (love this disc)
ESP Drone or ESP Zone (gotta try them both out, never thrown either)
ESP Meteor
that's 9 without putters. Looking at this bag I think I can work this pretty well. I'll have to give it a try next time I throw. Thanks again.

This 300'; is it controlled and hit most the time or is that max D with your longest disc?
This is something I really need to figure out. I haven't been playing very long and just base my distance off certain holes I play. I have not yet had the chance to go out to a field with distance markers. I think I can consistently hit about 250-275 on most controlled drives (but again this isn't certain). The few times I have thrown my boss it went much further (and to my surprised very controlled and accurate) I'd guess around 300-325? As soon as I can I'll hit up the field and pace the distance.

My thoughts because I'm stuck at work waiting for one guy and it's new years eve.
I throw around 300' too. I get no use out of any of these because I can throw slower discs further and more consistently.
I'd pick one and work on it for the time being if you feel the need for speed.
Discraft ESP Surge 174g
Innova Champion Boss 172g
Innova Champion Katana 172g
Pretty similiar for arguments sake, pick one:
Innova DX Firebird 174g
Innova Champion Firebird 173g
Innova KC Banshee 166g
Discraft Elite Z Flick 167g
All kinda the same. Pick your favorite.
Innova Champion Valkyrie 170g
Innova Star SL 170g
Discraft ESP Stalker 168g
Same ballpark, I do get some added value from a slower overstable disc and a faster one, you might, you might not, I can use a Banshee/FireBird at times, but it's really not neccessary. The flick is a little faster than the firebird...a little bit.
Pick something that works for you. Maybe two. Really one. Flick/Banshee, FireBird/Banshee maybe. FireBird/Flick would be a complete waste if you are trying to minimize molds.
Innova DX Firebird 174g
Innova Champion Firebird 173g
Innova KC Banshee 166g
Discraft Elite Z Flick 167g
All fairway understable. pick your favorite.
Discraft Elite Z XS 174g
Innova Champion Leopard 174g
Innova Star TL 168g
I carry three different Mids and they all slightly overlap but I get added value for my abilities to have all 3. You could definitely get by with the Drone/Comet only. Comet is a great disc for any line. Covers you annies and hyzers.
Discraft CryZtal Buzzz 176g
Discraft Elite Z Comet 172g
Discraft ESP FLX Drone 176g
Discraft ESP Meteor 172g
Discraft ESP Zone 174g
It's a putter.
Gateway Soft Magic 175g
You can lighten the load tremendously with finding your favorites based on what you have.
Solid bag (with what you have): Magic, Zone, Comet, TL, Banshee, FireBird, SL.
Or if you want to have extra molds to cover things, yet try more out discs: Magic, Drone, Buzzz, Meteor, Leopard, Banshee, Flick, Valk, Stalker, Surge would be a decent set up. There is still some overlap going on there but it will give you a little more to try out and learn what they do for you and help you find your preferences. Plus your bag is lighter. The only thing you are missing in your option is a overstable distance driver, however, that would probably come crashing down around 250 for you (I am assuming based on my ability). Not super useful yet. I'd just stick to the Firebird (or Firebird like disc) there.

Thanks for that post whitechocolate, solid advice. I do like my KC Banshee a lot. I have never thrown a super fast overstable disc I guess. I previously thought that is what the boss would be, but it went much straighter (and further) with much less low speed fade than I had expected. I just need to throw more and see what I like most I guess

this is an general idea of flight types, speeds, and overall rankings.
i use discgolfcenter.com (where i buy my discs) as a "conversion" tool for discraft to innova ratings.

That's probably the bag I would pick for you at 300' max drive. Valkyries and stalkers are your friend, same with the leopard and XS for tight lines. Surge for overstable (at 300') distance probably relatively straight for the flash. Firebird and flick for overstable as well. Mids are self explanitory, overstable roc, straight buzzz, understable comet, super overstable drone.
any putters you wish.

Thanks cwalbino...I have yet to throw my flash. My KC Roc is very beat and very understable.
What would the differences in my two stalkers be as far as flight? I like that list though

that esp stalker should be just a tad bit more understable. usually elite z's are more overstable than their esp counterparts, and also it's lighter. Also I like to carry two or three of the most use driver in my bag, so I did that for yours :)

I like this bag. I went out today to a field to throw, I pretty much only had time to throw most of my drivers once. As expected, my Katana, Boss, and Surge all went the furthest. But, I was unable to clear the whole football field on any throw, so I think I throw shorter than I previously thought. It was also fairly chilly outside, so I don't know how much of a factor that was. And I was also teeing off from grass that was muddy underneath.
