If there's one thing I've learned over the past years, it's that I can't play more than three courses in a day. I also need to alot for two hours to play a course instead of an hour and a half. I think I've managed to account for both of those things while still managing to only take 2.5 days off work.

Any volunteers to be course guides? They'd be greatly appreciated.

The thought of choosing to drive 12 hours, getting 5 hours of sleep and then playing a round of DG at daybreak is hard for me to grasp... but then again you are a youngster, so why not ?
Seriously though, I would not try to cover that much ground in that short of time.
If it were me, I'd drive to Bowling Green on the 14th, find a nice steakhouse relax, get a good night's sleep, then hit Keriakes in the morning.
Drive to Huntsville and play either Indian Creek, Mastin Lake,
Monte Sano or Brahan Springs on the 15th.
On the 16th play the remaining three Huntsville courses.
On the 17th, drive to Nashville- play Seven Oaks and Cedar Hill.
On the 18th drive home.
That's seven good courses with a whole lot less driving.
Or, if you have your heart set on Mississippi, there are tons of courses without circling back to Chattanooga.

I have done the trip Mando promotes above; though we did drive all the way from Wisconsin; to finish with 3 in Huntsville to finish; in one night/day of driving....and those are good courses worth playing. Get set up ahead of time to play Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville too; awesome history and a good "old school" course. UAH a nice, big arm course; with a couple of very tough water holes. Mastin and Brahan more technical. Seven Oaks and Cedar Hill, good courses. The Sinks is a very unique and challenging course. If you end up there; those sink holes will be mighty cold. A bud went in, in his underwear and darn near froze this time of year. That trip was actually a different one for us than the Huntsville journey.

Rich,

It's an 8 hour drive to Bowling Green. So an extra four hours on the front end gets me two more states marked off of my played list, and it also gives me a glimpse of northern Georgia which I've heard is beautiful. Plus that 12 hours of driving is all on the front end of my trip when I'll be the most fresh. I think I can pull it off. Since I'm playing Cloudland it almost seems silly to not fit in The Sinks since I'll be so close to it.

Paul,

Redstone initially scared me because it's private. I suppose I can contact the club to see if someone will play with me on that Friday morning. Indian Creek was the most tentative course on my list... I ended up picking it just because it has the least amount of reviews and would benefit the most from me reviewing it. But I'd happily trade out an iffy four star course for a proven one.
