Okay, My SC mini trip, looks like it has turned into a Major road trip back to Iowa. Great time of year!:gross: I'm debating stopping at Richmond Hill again, I don't think I could ever get enough of that course, but I wanted to see how much of the snow has melted off, what the weather predictions are, etc... around the Iowa and Illinois area. I may be leaving this week or next. I haven't got a date in stone yet.

oh, with Daylight as short as it is, I may not be able to get in that many courses along the way. but I would like to meet up with some people if I could! DSCJNKY, I've got Richmond Hill still in my GPS! :)

Brett has been posting a lot of reviews and such for Illinois; see one of his reviews and go to his top ten courses in Illinois to pick the best of the lot (he's #19325, on this site and has a review on the front page at the moment). Foundation DGC in Centrailia, Ill. is one that I would certainly recommend. If you get to the Quad Cities area; where Illinois/Iowa/Wisconsin meet up; there is nothing but great disc in that area; and courses are not heavily played. However, that area is probably going to be quite cold this time of year; where as Centrailia area should be quite a bit warmer. We are in a close to 40 degrees heat wave right now; in southern Wisconsin; if that's any indication of what we think of as "good weather" for this time of year.

40's is damn near shorts weather up here until July/August when it's 95, humid & old folks die in the streets. This weekend looks to be good for a winter round or 10.

It's been in the mid thirties here in Chicago, and the snow is starting to melt. Let me know if you'll be in the area and I'd love to throw a round with you, I've played basically everything in the Chicago area.

Yea its pretty warm up here for our standards right now. I would advise you not to throw white discs though ;)

I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT! LOL Cool, I know it's a crappy time of year, but hey... whatcha gonna do? If I had it my way, I'd be doing this in March! I still plan on getting in an arse load of courses in! I'm a trooper!

I wish I was! But for the most part, I'll be in South Eastern Iowa. Maybe jump across the river into Illinois. I'm planning on revisiting Wildcat Springs again. I'm hitting it early, so I know I don't run out of light this time! lol

if you are in SE Iowa definitely head up to the quad cities...it's only about 2 hrs from keokuk area. Not surre of your route, but I'd advise hitting up Peoria area from some good golf as well as Springfield. Although I agree with tallpaul that centralia would be a great place to hit...the condition of the tees right now (it thawed out last week) is pretty terrible.
