Does anyone know where to get baskets and teepads insured?
Vandalism is a problem in our area.
Are there any clubs on here that have insurance for their course's equipment?

That's a good question. I've never seen that topic discussed around here. I suppose you could start by checking with your local insurance agent or ask the parks department.

Your local insurance agent might help you out. They'll insure some pretty weird things. The one sticking point is the fact that the baskets/tees sit (I'm assuming) on public ground so you wouldn't have "possession" of the insured item(s). If the baskets/tees sit on private land, then I would assume you'd have no problem getting them insured.
That said, insurance agents are agents of the devil, so WATCH OUT! ;)

Where are you located, there may be someone who set up another course in your area you can contact.

Yes, I forgot to mention that the course will be on public land.
And no, there isn't anyone in the area that I can ask for precedent. I'm working with the club that put all the courses into the area, and none of them have insurance (yet...)

Doesn't the city have insurance to cover the public land? I would think the baskets would be covered under that insurance just like a homeowners insurance would cover stuff on your property.

Do you own the baskets?
IF the park owns them...Gotta check with the park system. They are usually self insured. Have to ask them no one else would know. If they own them it is their issue.
If you own them... I believe that Ashtabula, Ohio (Shoot the Breeze DGC) has or had insurance. Try contacting them. I think the park made them get insurance and wasn't their own initiative. Check with them.

It's doubtful insurance on the baskets would be feasible.
Few incidents would exceed the deductible or exceed it by much, unless someone steals or destroys multiple baskets in a single incident. Teepads, virtually never; who steals or destroys a teepad?
Any minimum premium would likely be as much as it would cost to just replace a basket per year.
Governments, which are the great bulk of course owners, are usually self-insured, as already pointed out. Private course owners may have coverage under their homeowners insurance (still subject to the deductible).
The insurance you're likely hearing about, and of much greater importance, is liability insurance, not insurance on the baskets themselves.
