It's red with no ink or gashes, the stamp has faded off of the top but it is otherwise perfect. I'm taking offers of money or discs or both, whatever you think is reasonable. If you want pictures just let me know and I'll post some.

Honestly, I would have kept the Teebird, but I'm glad you're happy.

maybe i'm an idiot but what's so amazing about a 1st run champ edition teebird?

Are CE Aviar BB's worth anything? What about CE Valks, CE T-birds, and CE Firebirds?

Also, how do you tell the difference between first run or not cause mine might be that?

There are no better discs out there than the CE products. It is a shame they were taken off the market. Does anyone know why? Was it the cost of the plastic?

Partly sarcastic / partly serious: how long would a company last if they made indestructible discs...?

From my understanding, the biggest reason was inconsistency. They had more X-outs than A-list discs. The CE plastic was hard to get consistently and was subject to lots of warps or other problems in the molding/cooling process. Many of the X-outs were unsellable. Some of them have been recycled as part of the blend of the current Eco/Echo plastic discs Innova has been releasing recently.
If you've got any CE plastic and want to trade it, please let me know. I'd be happy to get my hands on a few more old discs. Firebirds/Teebirds especially, but also some of the Leopards, Eagles and Valkyries.
Most of the first run CE discs were dark, full, candy-red. Though there were also some rich-blue discs in the first run, but those are less common. During the 2nd run, they added yellow and white to the lineup; after that, subsequent runs had all sorts of colors. Somewhere during the 4th run, I think, they started having some clear/gummy CE discs that were really cool... great distance out of those discs, and amazing grip.
There were a few clearish discs in the 2nd run of CE plastic, but those were few and far between (I've seen a semi-translucent 2nd run Teebird and a semi-translucent 2nd run Valkyrie.)
If you want more info or want some extra opinions, feel free to post/e-mail pictures and you'll get all the advice you want. :)

Thanks for the info. I have a cherry red t-bird that is first run then, a yellow aviar, white firebird, and a pink, orange, and pinkish/red valk, yellow eagle, all CE. My eagle just gave me an ace this past november.

Good point. I guess only if you lost them. Good thing I have about 5 CE discs left. I have lost two CE discs over the past 8 years and wanted to cry....literally. They fly like no other.
Thanks for all your help fellas.

I have a 175 clear champion x-out teebird that I found that is quickly becoming my favorite disc. The other day I hit the basket low dead center on a 250' uphill narrow tunnel shot. I don't think it's CE and it's not for sale. Just wanted to brag a little and confirm that the Champion Teebird is an excellent disc even if it's not CE.
