Heading back to SoCal for a couple of weeks (Orange County and San Diego) and wanted some feed back on courses I should consider playing that I don't mention below. The Inland Empire is also up for grabs if there are any courses out there.

I have played El Dorado and Huntington Beach in the past. I intend on playing all 36 at La Mirada for the first time. Anything else in the area I should look at? I will be staying in Long Beach for a few nights.

San Diego, I will be playing Morley Field, Sun Valley, and Emerald Isle for the first time...is there anything else in San Diego County? I am staying in Oceanside (Emerald Isle) for a few nights and La Mesa for a few nights (SV and Morley).

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance for your input,
Chris

There is a 9-hole course (18 with alternate tees) in San Marcos, just down the road from Oceanside. The front 9 is kinda short and the course is very wide open, but it is enjoyed by many. It's worth playing if you have the extra time.

Inland Empire - new Fly 18's in Hemet and Riverside - haven't played them yet. Yucaipa is in the ground and is a very good course. Redlands and Palm Desert are both shortish, but fun midrange courses.

For historic purposes you might want to hit up Oak Grove.

I have thought about San Marcos, but the 2 pictures on this site make it look like a sand lot. Maybe I will take my in laws to practice on and then we will hit up Emerald.

Also what is Fly 18? I see the course listed as Van Burren, but is Fly 18 a design company or something?

For historic purposes you might want to hit up Oak Grove.

I have thought about that...if I have time a may hit that up. Being in Pasadena it could be a long drive back to the LBC.

Thanks for the advice everyone!
