Can anyone recommend 3 or 4 of their favorite courses to play in Austin Texas or in the Hill Country area? I have played 30 different courses in 8 months and I'm always looking for a new challenge. I am game for any course with some character. In other words, I do not really enjoy wide open, flat courses.

Circle C is the best all-around course in Austin. If you come to Austin, you have to play it-- it's that simple. East Metro (east of Austin in Manor) and Austin Ridge (far west Austin) are two extremely challenging wooded courses that offer nice scenery (for Texas anyway) and also are pretty lengthy.

For the hill country you gotta hit up the courses out at Circle R. It's 10 dollars a day per person, but they have 2 amazing courses out there. They are only open on certain weekends, which they post on their website so be sure to check it out before heading out there: http://circularproductions.com/circle_r_ranch.html
