OK, I cant take the cold anymore, I need to disc in decent conditions!!! lol. So this weekend me a couple friends are planning a trip south east. We're gonna drive down friday and play sat and sunday. We're atleast lookin for 60-65 degree weather so I was thinking either north or south carolina. What do you guys who have played that area recommend? I like courses that are mostly technical and short (by short I mean, not more than half the holes on the course are over 300 ft.) Any suggestions for a better trip would be appreciated! Thanks!

x2 for Charlotte...I only got to play renny and hornets nest, but they are great technical courses...as well as sugaw, reedy, and others...the disc golf mecca of the east coast...

Not to mention good weather! Saturday high 69, sunday 71, chance of showers, according to The Weather Channel.

damn dude, that's a 12 hour drive 1 way, not counting the delays you're sure to come across from the snow...but hey, more power to you! and i'll be the next to recomend Charlotte...good luck...plus it's not too far from Winthrop, another championship caliber course and you can say you played in 2 states...

I will say Cincinnati OH. It is about 6 hours for you. You could knock out Mt Airy, Idlewild, Banklick and any other number of courses.

Weather is going to be 65 saturday, 50 sunday - but you know how accurate weather predictions can be...

Just re-read your post.. if you want mostly shorter courses, you could head to Bowling Green, KY. There are 8 courses all within 30 minutes of each other - Hobson, Keriakas, Basil Griffin, Lovers Lane are all very nice courses and are relatively short (Lovers Lane being the longest).

If you take the trip to Bowling Green, make sure and stop at Freeman Lake in Elizabethtown, KY on the way down...awesome course.
