It's been a while but it seems to be about time for another round of personal tags.

The tags are once again available for pre-order in the DGCR Store (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/store). I'll be taking orders for 2 or 3 weeks and then I'll place the order. From that point, you guys should see them in about 2 weeks. I will post plenty of reminders as the window to order them is coming to an end.

Include the name you want on the tag when you send payment in the comments field.. the # will be your DGCR #, in your case it's 6557. I ask for the # so I don't have to look it up or email you back and ask for it if you signed up on the site using a different email address.

After I place the order it usually takes about a week for me to get them and then I try to ship them out as soon as I can (usually 1 or 2 days). I am going to leave the order window open for another week or two just in case anyone else wants to get in on it. I usually post in the thread a few days before I intend to stop taking orders.

Probably not, the wife gave me a hard time the first time. "$20 for a bagtag?? A disc doesn't even cost that much. And what are you gonna do with it?? Hang it on your bag?"

I caught alot of flack for that one, so I don't think $40 for a bagtag is gonna make her any happier.

Dude, I'm bummed to hear that you're bag tag is MIA.

I came close to losing my bag tag on at least three occasions. I ended up using a very small carabiner to hold my tag on to my bag. If I lose that tag it'll be because I've lost the whole bag.

Check the 2010 Master Travel Tag List (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8704) to who has tags in your area.

Then contact them through DGCR (private message or something) to let them know you'll be in the area. Then you meet up, play a round and swap your tags. After that, let Tim know you swapped and he'll update the list.

Then watch as your original tag (hopefully) gets traded around the country.

Pretty cool deal.

Timg, the bag tags are righteous; however, the little chain "attacher-thingies" are less than stellar. My tag fell off first round I played, luckily I saw it come off. Maybe next round include a better chain/"attacher-thingy." :)

I like the little rubber clear thing. Those seem to work well for the most part. I usually use a key ring attached to a D-ring on my tags

No Problem!! In one of the packs, they offer a supersized one! It's huge! Perfect size! oh, and they sell a packet of various size Carabiners in the camping section as well. ...not that great though, I've busted all of the smaller ones! lol

Is it possible to get a replacement personalized DGCR Bag Tag? Mine snapped in half yesterday as I loaded up the car. I did a Super Glue job on it but don't have faith that it wll hold very long.

Hey TIMG , Since we have had some issues with the tags not meeting expectations(getting crushed/falling apart/ect) have you looked into mabey a new tag that is metal or something more indestructable?
I am sure lots of us who have had our tags for two years and more would be ready to buy something new to help out DGCR. Personally I like the old tag but would be ready to buy another style/something new.

I don't think they're that fragile. Just handle them in a manner you'd expect not to break a thin piece of plastic/metal/whatever the hell they're made out of...:o

In fact, if you have the competition bag or the DISCarrier, and you clip it to the front hook, it'll slide in between the pouch and the drink holder nicely. This could reduce the chance of breakage. ...just throwin it out there

I have had mine on my bag for two years and it still looks great. Shinypickle, these tags are still the best thing going as far as bagtags from DGCR. They are well worth the 20 bucks. I know I mistreated mine and it is still in great shape. I really don't know why or how these tags got tore up or fell apart. I am talking to the guys that already have one and want mabey something else.

I agree. Wtf is up with those? The first time I put mine on my bag it last about five minutes before it was covered with leaves, grass, sticks, pretty much everything that it touched.

I honestly can't imagine how I would break my tag. I guess if I kicked my bag in a fit of rage and it just so happened that the tag was on the receiving end of my kick; then maybe. These tags are not at all fragile. The only issue I've had was not so much my tag but the metal beaded chain that's used to fasten it to the bag. Mine came apart on at least two occasions and I nearly lost the tag on the second chain malfunction. I ended up replacing the chain with a small carabiner. Works perfectly.

I probably wouldn't buy a towel myself. It's not often that I use a towel and when I do it's usually stuffed in a side pocket of my bag; never to be seen. At least with the bag tags, they're always out in the open to be seen by other players. It's representing for DGCR. People have noticed my DGCR tag and have asked about it. I honestly can't recall ever looking at or deliberately checking out someones towel.

A bottle? Meh... If it's one of those metal bottles, maybe. A plastic bottle, I wouldn't be interested.

I can see peebody's point though. For those DGCR'rs that have had a bag tag for awhile, something else to have in the bag would be cool. Of course I've always thought the DGCR mini markers would fit that need well.

I remembered you saying that and I made a mental note about the chain. So when I got mine I didn't use the chain. I put it on a big key ring instead. I've since removed the Carabiner, and just attached it directly.

Do this, Subscribe to this thread. When Tim opens up the DGCR tag for orders, it will alert you. Odds are he will post in this thread, as well as make an announcement that they are open. Just keep watch, he'll keep the order windows open for a few weeks. He only does it once or twice a year, I missed out on the one before the last. I just kept watch. Like I said, he'll probably announce it in this thread, as well as starting a new one. So Subscribe to the this one. That's what I did.
