I won a Aviar putter at a tournament last weekend, and I can't tell what its made of or which version of the Aviar it is. Its a very glossy black. It dosen't feel chalky like the DX Plastic, but I know its not Champ or Star. I can't post any pics right now because my computer is down, but its glossy black and says, "Disc Golf Hall OF Fame 2007" with some names at the bottom. I know its a 175, and the guy who game it to me told me it was a collectors disc and it was an Avair. Any ideas? Thanks.

It might be the DX plastic that Dragons and Hydras are made from. Is it really super stiff?

If it is opaque and a bit soft it could be pro or pro-line plastic. Any letters where the weight is written?

Probably a KC (http://www.innovadiscs.com/discs/kcproaviar.html) or JK (http://www.innovadiscs.com/discs/jkproaviar.html) Aviar.
The Hall of Fame discs come out once a year to commemorate the new inductees to the Disc Golf Hall of Fame. They are a special blend DX Aviar - not the same plastic as the Dragon or Hydra. The initial distribition of discs is always at the PDGA awards banquet during the week of the World Championships. Until the new inductees are announced the names on the discs is a big secret.
The initial retail value is $25. I don't know what the collector value is on the 2007 one now. They are worth a bit more if they are signed. They rarely get thrown, because most owners are more interested in the collector value than the playing value. Please go throw yours, so the 5 I have will be worth more! ;)
I was in charge of the Pro Shop at Highbridge Hills during the 2007 World Championships there, and most of those discs passed through my hands.

I have no interesting in collecting anything. I used to collect things, but I get tired of dusting shelves. I think the best place for that putter will be in my bag.
Like I said, I used to collect things, but about 4 years ago, I lost about 80% of everything I own. After that, I just don't put much value in "things" anymore. If I have a cool disc, its going to get thrown. Plus this disc flies really nice.
