Pere Marquette Park, zip 63670, please post hear and let me know.
I've been talking to the Park Board about funding new baskets. Of course, there's no money in the budget, no surprise these days. But, they are interested in use of the course in order to judge how much effort to put into grant proposals, etc.
SO, please, if you've played the course, answer these questions...
1)Have you played the DG course in Ste Genevieve, Pere Marquette Park?
2)How many times have you played it?
3)Did you buy anything at a local store? Bottle of soda, 6 pack of beer, lunch, whatever...
4)If we held a fund raiser tournament, toward getting new baskets, would you go down to play? Say, $20/person, 2 rounds of 18 (using short and long tees to 9 baskets)?
Realizing many here haven't played it, don't live nearby, and probably wouldn't come in for a non-sanctioned tournament, but who knows!
The course layout is decent with improvements in the near future, but the baskets are really in lousy shape. Some Disc Kings or DB 5s or Mach IIs would be a huge help. By getting some strong usage information, I can make a better case for funding. I've tried the local merchant route to an extent, but there's a lot of demand for donations, and not a lot of ability to make donations right now. I'm not giving up, though.
Thanks, all.
