View Full Version : Quick Find
This feature is blatantly obvious but I thought I'd make a post about it anyway. I just added a Quick Find area to the home page. This way you guys can quickly browse for a particular course or state without having to load up the browse page.
It's pretty much a convenience thing and I remember someone asking for something like this a while back so I thought I'd finally get around to setting it up.
Just fixed a bug with Internet Explorer where the state/province select box wouldn't show up correctly if you changed the country. I didn't receive any complaints regarding this so I'm guessing it wasn't something many of you ran into but I fixed it none the less.

Quick Find = Sweet! Thanks.
Some day I hope you can make some money from all that you're putting into this site.
No problem, glad you like it.
As far as money, who knows. Even if I don't make a dime off the site, I find it just as useful as you guys. I was looking for a site like this last year when I was planning my road trip and when I didn't find anything, I made it. Planning the road trip this year will be MUCH easier thanks to all the tools on here.
A few months ago I was even talking with some guys at the PDGA about a possible collaboration with DGCR that would have benefited both parties but unfortunately the plan fell apart and nothing came of it.

I'm a PDGA course Evaluator and I think that the PDGA Course Evaluations are now dead. That program is probably most useful for course designers and very committed Parks & Rec workers. I was an advocate for joining forces with DGCR. This site already does what the PDGA was attempting to do, but it does it in a more useful way, so in some ways DGCR hastened the demise of the PDGA Eval program. DGCR has many advantages over the PDGA Course Eval program, but there are a few things that the PDGA could offer too. The PDGA Eval program would need a major overhaul to be viable again, and there doesn't seem to be anyone with the time and vision to take that on. I would certainly hate to see people waste time and energy just reduplicating work that is done here.
I'd love to see the PDGA Course directory course pages have a link that directs people to the review here.
