Course Wish List

As promised, the course wish list is here. You'll notice a new button on the course info page that will let you add courses to the list and you can maintain the list through the new Wish List tab on your dashboard.

Dashboard you ask? Well I renamed "Edit My Profile" to "My Dashboard" since that area is becoming more of an account maintenance type area and it will also be where I put a lot of new features in the future (ie. score tracking). "Edit My Profile" just didn't seem to be a proper name for that link anymore and I didn't like "Member CP" or "Control Panel" so I went with dashboard.

As usual, notice any weirdness, let me know!

Thanks for this great new feature! I noticed the button blanks out when you put the pointer over it though. Other than that, SWEET!:D

Hmm.. Try hitting Ctrl-F5 on the page and see if it blanks out then.

That fixed it. Thanks Tim! I've never had to do the ctrl-F5 before I started with this site. I suppose I should do that stuff occasionally to other sites I visit regularly.

Your web browser caches copies of the files that tell the site how to behave and occasionally certain changes require you to manually "refresh" that file. I know the browser grabs the file by itself on occasion too although I'm not sure how it decides when to do it.

My browser at work didn't require me to do a hard-refresh to see the button so who knows :)

The wish list courses are also represented by yellow baskets on the map view in your profile.

i am really impressed with the new changes. i was just playing around for the last 20 minutes, with some of the newer features; everything is really cool.

I have a couple of other small features planned before I get involved in a big project for the site. I may try and get the monthly giveaway squared away before getting too involved in other things too.

Hey Tim,
Is there anyway you could put a map to our Course Wish List, or be able to see them all on the map, but only them. I'd love to be able to see them all on a road map so I can plot a course. I'm trying to plan summer road trips and this feature would be an awesome addition and a Huge Help!!

If you want to see them on a map you can click on "View Profile" in your dashboard and then click "Map View" and your wish list courses are in yellow but you will also see your favorite and played courses too. I'll see if I can setup a filter for that so you can pick and choose what to see in that view.

Got the filtering working. Just view your profile page and at the bottom in the color key you'll see check boxes in the middle of them. You can now turn on/off favorites, wish list courses and played courses.

I just updated the map view in the profiles to improve speed. Switching between it and the list view should now be much faster.
