Just moved to Corvallis, from a place that had no f@#$ing courses. I'm an okay golfer, not great distance, but good control, and good putting. Can't wait to launch, even if I lose one or two. Looked around a little on this site for a course, and I think the best two are Willamette Park and Adair Park. Anyone out there played on these courses?

If you could only play one of these courses, which would it be?

And if there is a better one in the area, what is it? Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,
puddin'

Another good course just a bit south of you is Dexter. Its a really nice course right off the lake. Good mix of elevation, and terrain changes.

I've played on both of those courses. They are both good courses.
I think Willamette is the better of the 2. It seems like it has more space to it. I think it gets more play because it closer to town.

Adair!

Adair doesn't have the same problem with crowds as Willamette, and it's just a fantastic course, probably in the top five for Oregon, and that's really saying something considering how wonderful our courses are. There are long open holes to bomb on, a section of very tight wooded holes to get your treelove on, and also a lot of good intermediate holes that are half and half. Some holes have OB to add to the challenge as well.

Willamette is a lot of fun still, but there is too much repetition, and the 6 of the last holes are crammed way too close together. It really can't hold a candle to Adair.

I'm going to agree like a million % with the esteemed mr. gwillim. Adair is an awesome course. It has most of everything you want in a course. Willamette is a fine course, but in my opinion, it just doesn't quite measure up to Adair. And Dexter south of you sounds wonderful. And a couple hours north is Portland with two of the top rated courses in the country and countless others to play. I'm sure you're going to find that you've moved to a wonderful area of the country in which to enjoy your disc golfing. I just wish I wasn't stuck up here in Washington state.
