My friend recently showed me his 2 newest discs.

Innova Star Skeeter red 171
Innova Star Kite Pink 171.

They are both as bendy as FLX from discraft, infact they feel and fly great. HOwever all the star discs i have ever seen are WAY more ridgid and chalky.
Is this a new thing? or is it a 2 off??

I have also seen my friends play with SUPER shiny champ discs (valk beast sidewinder i think), obviously the mould has been polished to a mirror, is this the case with all new discs? I have never bought a new disc that shiny. all bought form academy sports in san antonio TX strangely.

i have some stars that are flexy (destroyer, coyote) and another that is pretty rigid (shark)...both star roadrunners i've had were also pretty flexy...

ive found lighter weight discs to be much more flexible. you should check the weight on them.

Don't know if it's true, but I've heard that different colors can be more or less "flexy"...could be BS. I've also got a destroyer(yellow) that is like that.

the mold of the disc can really effect the flexibilty of the disc. midranges and putters being more flexible. I think the earlier runs of star plastic were more rigid...
