Om is the sound the earth makes, if thats what you mean by message

Let's simplify it. You have seen this in movies where people (usually from India) sit with their legs crossed, put their wrists on their knees, then they have their thumbs make a circle with their middle fingers, and they chant "OM" (ohm) over and over.

Please no one be offended by my over simplifying of such an important thing. :)
