I lost a disc yesterday, so while searching for my disc, I spotted a orange dis with a tournament stamp on it. I called the number, and the guy was shocked and thrilled that I found his disc. Since we are both going to be playing in a tournament on that course next weekend, I am just going to give it back to him them. I made his day. Anyone else got any stories like that?

Not wanting this to go to land fill; midnight?
I was hitch hiking in the mountains of West Virginia once; and this one armed dude picks me up in a Ryder, rental truck. He had spent all of his gas money on women and party materials the preceding two days. Ryder truck getting no gas mileage in WV mountains....So, he had me go tell some sob story about someone dieing in the family and we're trying to get home, etc. etc. to the gas station dude. Gas station guy gave us like $10 free gas; which made one arm dude's day; that day. However, that gas probably only lasted a very little while. I don't know; as I bailed on dude first thing in the morning (splitting before he awoke); I had enough troubles of my own; hitch hiking the mountains of west virginia and all....
I did play some disc golf during that journey. :)

yeah it was so exciting i just thought i had to share it. Sure me giving a bunch of money to a homeless guy is way better but i guess it fails in comparison to giving some guy his 14 dollar used disc back.

I lost a beaten Pro, t-dyed Destroyer last summer and the guy who found it actually called. As shocked as I was that someone called, he seemed even more surprised when I told him to just keep it.

I once met a homeless dude coming out of the woods with a cheese sandwhich and a beer at like 7 a.m. in the morning; at a course in Illinois. Made his day to meet up with an out of towner and play a round. He carried his discs in a paper bag. :) Actually, dude wasn't homeless; but he was car less; and a recovering addict (drinking beer at 7 a.m. lol). He had someone drop him off at the course the night before.

I found a yellow classic roc. I yelled to see if it belonged to anyone on the course. Nobody replied so I called the number on the back. The guy said it was his first disc and he hadn't seen it in a couple of years. He had moved to another state but his parents still lived near the course. I told him it would be no problem to get the disc to his parents' house. I stow the disc in my bag and keep playing. A couple of holes later these two dudes ask if I've seen a yellow disc. I just told the original owner I was getting it back to him. I told them that I would look out for it and asked if it had their name on it. The guy chuckled, "like that would matter." Right then I knew I made the right decision. I drove the disc off to the parents' house and left it on the porch.
...and that, kids, is the story of the first disc I ever returned.

It certainly made mine. I left a message for him but he never called me back. Hey Midnight, what the hell? I just wanted to show you a good time; you're in to bears right?

There was this bear once; who had a thorn in his paw; which meant he couldn't throw a disc well at all. (You guys are thinking I pulled out the thorn aren't ya?) Well, I gave him Midnight's number; which is probably why Midnight didn't need to get in touch with the wolf...he had injured bear action all lined up....they spent the night in the van down by the river...:)

Well that dude(s) with the lake rake were out there yesterday shortly after I lost my Pro Katana on hole 3 at E Swinney and they didn't pull it out (or if they did, they did after I left and didn't call) and that did not make my day!

I found a wallet once between hole #9
. I looked in it to see who it belonged to and discovered I knew the guy (local firefighter). I went to the Central Fire Station downtown to track him down and found out he was in the building across the street. when he got his wallet back he tried to give some of the money thatwas in it to me, but I declined. He got his personal stuff back and I got the warm feeling that he will spread the word about the cool folks at the Disc Golf course.

The other day at a tourney I was hanging out at tourney central while my wife braved the horrible weather. The lead group had found a disc and the TD called the dude. I was all the way across the room and heard the guy exclaim "REAAAALLLLLY???" he then drove over half an hour to come get it...so I would say his day was made.

I was out of town playing a new course to me and I found a disc in the middle of the fairway. Called the number and the guy said he had been there the night before and let a couple of practice throws go around dusk. Looked and looked for that disc and could not see it. He drove 1 hour to my campsite to get it, I think he liked that disc. Glad I could return it. That was the first of many to return to the rightfull owner.
Wish others would do the same..............I know the guys that have my Panther (not that I really liked the disc)..............I know they clean out the lake that it was in and the disc was marked.

Well, I think it's highly unlikely that some guy spend his 14 dollar used disc on MD20/20.

I was practicing in the park the other day and after I finsihed a volley I went to retive my discs when a groupe of five or so kids walk through my pile. Usually when this happens my discs start flying up in the air like a popcorn maker, but this time a girl (4 maybe) picked up all the discs in sight ran over to me and said "here you go," and handed them to me. Well I went to retive the last one that I turned wayyyy over and sent floating down a hill. Half way down the hill her brother (maye 3) came screamin past me running as fast as his little legs could carry him dowm this steep hill. He spilled at the bottom of course, poped right up, ran over to my disc and said "here you go," and handed it to me.
Thowing your self headlong down a big hill just to help a stranger, that made my day.

I saw some people trying to get a disc out of the water, they failed and gave up. I took a quick shot at it after they left, pulled out a beat to **** archangel. Caught up with the peeps and gave it back to the guy. He said it was his favorite disc and was happy.
Karma smiled on me as 2 holes later I griplocked the **** out of my drive on hole 4 at Plymouth Creek, it hit a tree branch in the woods to the left, kicked up, and out of the woods, about 10 feet from the pin. I couldn't repeat that shot in a million years. I think it was the DG gods saying good on ya.

If you have a DX Kite, tape a dollar bill to it, and throw it . That way, when someone finds it, it will be worth something.
