Disc golf on a ball golf course. I'm looking for players that would like to test-play a new 18 hole pay-to-play disc golf course on the Wirth Par 3 golf course (which is almost in Minneapolis).

By "players" I mean both disc golfers and ball golfers. We're trying to see if the two are compatible. So, if you can bring any friends who play ball golf, that would be helpful.

Both the ball golf and the disc golf courses will be "Par 3 non-intimidating". The kind of place a Dad could bring his daughter and they'd both have fun. So, any skill level in either sport is OK.

All test-players play free, but you need to make an appointment with me. Email stevenpwest (at) hotmail (dot) com.

We'll be doing this May 10 through May 14. If you can be available before 3 pm, or after 6pm, you have a better chance of getting a slot.

Did I mention test players can use a cart for free, if you want?

The few I have seen, have not worked very well together. Bolfers pay big cash for their sport and do not seem very tolerant of discers. Discers rarely seem inclined to spend money on carts. Worst part is that the courses are usually not very good for discers; i.e. they are wide open and often nothing but huge armed courses. Sounds like you are trying to not have this happen here...but, I would still say, that, in general, good golf holes and good disc holes are rarely compatible.

So what day and time do you want to play?

Wish I could make it Steve, if it were another time of year; I would give it a try. Hope things go well. You had much response yet?

I'll be there tomorrow with my son (and I sent the word out to a couple of my friends as well) assuming the weather holds up. IF it is 40 and raining like they are predicting I might leave my son at home.

I'm really tired after following 6 or 7 groups around the course all day, taking notes. (This was the day after an all day session of installing baskets in 39 degree rain).

The course is much improved, and much safer, thanks to all the comments and errant throws of the those who volunteered to test it.

To respond to the comments of everyone who played it - the "impossible" Mando on 3.1 (that few really had any trouble with when they finished whining about it and actually threw the disc) is gone! (Sorry Chuck.)

And those not-allowed "dream holes" that you saw are filed away as ideas for future expansion - maybe after the revenue from disc golfers exceeds that from golfers.
