At Gahagan Park in Summerville SC, there's a clearing from overhead power lines adjacent to a really nice fenced in kids playground.

With a tee right next to the back of a building with rest rooms that would block most errant shots from going over the fence (into playground), this seems like THE perfect spot for a "Kids Priority Disc Golf Hole"! The playground is mostly for kids 12 and under and it would be cool to have a DG hole for them to play.

Of course, if no kids are using it, then it can be a practice basket for anyone.

Anyone ever hear of Kids Priority Disc Golf Hole before? I'd like to see a Practice Basket set aside so Kids 12 and under get FIRST Priority! Then, Teens from 13 to 17 have SECOND Priority. 18+ get Tertiary (3RD) Priority. As you can imagine, that "rule" might go over pretty well with the kids! :)

I asked the 10 year old son of a local disc golfer (who throws really well) if he liked the idea of this and he said that would be Awesome. What do YOU think?

To see overall course layout for the proposed Gahagan Park DGC click HERE (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14691&page=9)!

Above link goes directly to Page 9 of this thread to an image with yellow dots for location of proposed baskets. If you'd like to use this image and connect the dots (design your own layout) please feel free to do so. You may want to go to start of this thread to see layouts other have proposed.

Thanks for your feedback!

Very cool, but I rarely see kids younger than highschool age playing. Occasionally a 'family' or dad with his son, but...its not that common in IL from what I've seen.
