I don't have a used bag for you, but Lighting Discs http://gottagogottathrow.com/discgolf/bagsstraps-c-4.html?filter_id=4&sort=3a makes decent bags that are pretty inexpensive. I used one for three years and still use it from time to time when I don't need my larger bag.

For under twenty bucks you should find one that fits what you need, and if you decide you don't like the sport or the bag you did not lose too much money.

i know a guy with one of the smaller lightning bags, and it looks decent for the 11-16 bucks that they cost...

here's the same one for $12.95 HERE (http://www.primediscs.com/proddetail.asp?prod=fade%2Dlite&cat=35) - This a pretty decent starter bag and it holds up well.

I had a Lightning tourney bag in the late 90's and it fell apart on me. The shoulder strap didn't have much padding and a few seems started to tear on me. I wasn't working then and played almost every day until I got a new job so it did catch alot of hell. They might be built better now because this was some time ago. Check out some of the online retailers and compare the bags they offer. See what you think will work for you. Personally I would lean towards the crunchbox or the tourney bag because they have options that I like but those same options might not suit you.

The color is the only cheesy thing about them. They are very well made.

I bought one of these for my daughter and it is an ok bag for her. It is a bare bones bag that Fade makes. How often do you play or plan on playing? If you plan on playing alot I would get a better (more pockets etc) bag than the Fade lite. Shop around, compare features. Check Ebay before you buy, most of the time you can get one a little cheaper than an online retailer.

Any starter bag from any company is going to be bare bones. Thats what a starter bag is. Fade just happens to have a cheap but well made bare bones bag. The colors aren't bad in person. I bought the light blue for my mom (yea even she dg's :D ) and its a good looking color.
if you plan on playing regularly then get a nicer bag to start with. There is no point on buying a starter bag using it for a few months then deciding to get a better bag. The Fade crunch is an awesome mid-size bag with awesome price and quality.

I agree, I didn't say anything bad about it. I just said if you plan on playing often I would go with a better bag. when I said better I meant with more options etc....

Fade makes good stuff so no offense to Fademan. Keep making good bags sir!

I thought you were. I read over my post and thought it might not be as clear as I wanted so I was just clarifying. :D

Sometimes I wonder if there isn't just 1 or 2 companies making all of these bags? :D

its like radar detectors. the same company that makes the radar detectors for us make the radars for the cops. the same company makes cheap ugly bags for people that dont care what it looks like (fade [all bags]) as they do nice fancy ones that cost an arm and a leg (pdga tour bag $65)

Also the FADE Starter doesn't hold as many discs as he says he's planning on carrying. He'll have to go up to the "large" size in most brands, which, except for the Lightning bags, will set him back around $40 at the least.

if you think there is ANY point at which you'll carry more than 15 or so discs...just bite the bullet and drop 50 on a fade tourney bag and you'll never have to worry about upsizing...

Not to change brands or anything, but has anyone dropped $45 on the Nutsac? Looks like a good bag but is a bit pricey. Any opinions?

If you really want to go cheap and don't care to support our sport by spending money with our great sponsors, :( you can always just go buy some cheap nap sack or duffel bag some where or a small cheap cooler with the Velcro top.

I just feel it is important to mention all the options we can. :|

I like Wingnut's minimalist concept, but I'd like to see a model that holds more.

they do appear pretty heavy duty but $45 is a bit pricey considering you can get a fade tourney bag for the same price. I wouldn't mind trading for or winning one & using it for summer casual rounds or maybe for my wife to put her discs in though she doesn't play very often, I carry way too much gear for that bag in the winter.

Another option, for the Uber cheap, is one Ive seen several people using in the Twin Cities area.

Go to the local Army surplus store, and get a cover for a gas mask. Its durable army grade canvas, and just the right size for discs. It even has a shoulder strap.

Available in Army Green, or Army Green.

Looks like an old canteen case to me. I have to have more pockets for extra towels, snacks, etc....

it is actually a very heavy duty bag. i held one and was looking at it (ubtil i saw the price) for those nine hole rounds where i only use 5 discs. it is a great bag for the occasional player that is super rough with their stuff. for everyone else there is much better options.

ok well i bought the Innova Standard Bag thinking i would just carry 8-10 discs, and i'm already wishing i would have waited and bought a bigger bag. i just cant stand to leave 3-4 discs at the house. So i will just use this one until i can get a bigger one....so if anyone wants to trade for a brand new bag....i have one thats only been taken out 3 times

Word. Just bought one and absolutely love it. Built like a tank and holds lots of discs. Jungle Tim's had his for years, and it still looks brand new. Color's not even faded from the Mexican sun.
