First of all Parma will be getting Cement tee pads this weekend! This course not only needs cement tees, but it really deserves it. Parma is a FANTASTIC course.

There is one big problem with the upcoming changes though, and that is that hole 2 is going away entirely. I'll attach a drawn on picture:

The red T is the basket and the light blue is, you guessed it, water. There is a gorgeous little pond there that makes this a REALLY fun hole. But the VFW (off picture about 200' to the left) that owns the park and does the maintenance is sick of idiots trying to fish discs out of the pond with branches and then leaving them all over the grass, so they end up having to pick them up in order to mow...which they do COMPULSIVELY. Funny thing is there is a LOOOONG tool provided right there for you disc fishing needs. Of all the times I've ever played there I've only ever seen ONE disc go in, it was mine, and it was because I hit a tree and it bounced back. I didn't even get a tool out, it was barely in the water. Oi.

So now that the bad news is out of the way let me address the ONE complaint (other than no real tees) that I've always had about parma: Holes 12-15 are basically the same hole with various little changes and variable distances between Long, too long, and way to F'ing long. (because they're roughly the same hole remember)

So these will be changed up because apparently even people that love Baker Farm (Chili Disc Golf Course) with all of it's long holes feel that this gets a bit boring, repetitive and just beats you down a bit with little reason.

I'll be playing Parma one last time in the old layout tonight, and I should be able to get a glimpse of how they plan to change things. I'll report back tomorrow about what I find out.

Well I couldn't get a glimpse of any of the new holes, but I did see that they hadn't laid out tee pads to be cemented on those holes. So I'm guessing they're not finalized yet. They are putting Cement at the current Hole 2, because it will be used for tournaments...like the 2011 AM worlds.

I had a good round and I scored a really nice 2 on hole 2. I thought it a fitting way to play that one off.

Good times.

I'm looking forward to the new layouts, and I'll update this thread as I get more info.
