Just played this course yesterday in the snow. Wow!, what a challenge. They basically scrapped two short beginner courses and put in a beast of a course with permanent dual baskets. Primarily tight unforgiving wooded fairways that average 450 ft+. Several Par 4s an epic par 5 that appears close to 1000 ft. A 520 foot gauntlet hole that will have you begging for mercy. This course has some elevation as well. I think this course is gonna increase the East vs West debate in PA, who has the most top destination type courses. When it is finished being groomed its gonna be 4-4.5 discs no problem. Par is 64-65 I shot well over this. Anyone have anything to add regarding this course.

Cool. So the course is finally finished? I haven't tried to play there in years. Has the course info here been updated? Where does the new layout start?

So this is back open, then? This is the closest course to me, so to have a new course would be really nice. I'm excited.

optidiscic - how'd you find out that the new course was installed? Did you just go to play and saw it or was there an update somewhere?

I played there yesterday it is rough...but there are 18 baskets in and all the new tee pads are done....there may be some tweaking yet but it's a really tough front 12 for sure the last 6 holes I think were old pleasure mountain holes...Its a really tough course...trust me! there was some helpful info on the lehigh valley disc golf club website forums re french creek and where the course was located so I went out and sure enough there are 18 gold baskets in.

So, this is a new course completely, right? So, in my mind all the reviews should now be obsolete. Should we contact timg about putting the little RIP sign next to the French Creek course and make a whole new page for the new course? I know some people have done some work updating the current page, but wouldn't it be more accurate if we kept the old and added the new? Thoughts/feedback?

Agreed. Doggy Woods and Pleasure Mountain (which each had there own page) are no more and there is now the new French Creek State Park DGC. The older reviews don't have any relevance to it.

Ok, ok.. I'm convinced :)

New course has been created and I've RIP'd the old ones.

i will try not to confuse you anymore but the 2 winter pics are actually brand new holes at the new course and you RIP them under the now defunct pleasure mountain...sorry for the confusion

I moved the pics.. speaking of which, do you have bigger versions? I've noticed all your uploads tend to be really small.

Good to know that the baskets are in for French Creek. It's one of the closer courses when I visit my friend in Exton. I'll have to check it out next time I visit.

I just wanted something to help me find this thread again... for some reason I thought this forum used a black dot http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums/styles/subsilver2/imageset/topic_unread_hot_mine.gifand not a white arrow http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/images/statusicon/thread_dot.gif

Oh, yea, it does do a black dot. You could also subscribe to it and it'll be in your control panel too.
